An alert list member just sent me a sweet little program for remounting drive letters without so much as a reboot, just a simple command line. I just wrote a batch file and remapped about seven drives on my test machine. I’ll double check but it looks like it is free to distribute, if that is so I’ll put it on the server. Just in case it is not I’ll include the link in this message. Obviously English is not this guys native language, but he gets his point across.
Changing a drive letter does not require a reboot of windows. Personally, I use a command line called remount.exe which will allow me to type in, or swap drive letters with just a command line. If I want drive g to be f I will just type remount g: f: If I want to swap around, I just type in with a -s switch. You can obtain a copy of remount.exe from http://www.uwe-sieber.de/files/remount.zip You can visit the website and see if you can find some of command program as well here http:/www.uwe-sieber.de David Ferrin "Beauty fades but dumbness is forever."
