Mute Speech: JAWSKey+space, s is a Mute Speech, on/off option. This setting is temporary. it is manually controlled. braille still works fully.

Putting JAWS to sleep: When you put JAWS to sleep, this is a 'permanent' setting. It is automatic. Now there are parts, or stages, to this sleep. If you want to also unload the synthesizer, this makes sure that the synth won't cause problems for other self-voicing apps. braille remains active; but if you want to put braille in sleep mode you can also do that in this dialohgue. Moving to another program or your desktop will wake up JAWS and restore normal functionality.

Unloading JAWS: Shuts down or kills JAWS. Moving or alt-tabbing to another program will not bring JAWS back. You need to restart JAWS.
