Have you maybe had a pare of eyes put the computer through its paces to see if it's not something isolated to just screen reading issues? If it's been less than a year since you got it, then it may be worth it to check whatever warrantee that came with either the machine itself or perhaps with whatever credit card or method of payment you used to buy it. That or pay for some sort of tech support to take a look at it. It would most likely be cheaper than junking the entire computer. Paying $65 or 70 for a techy to try to figure it out or at least give you a good diagnosis as to what could be wrong with it instead of getting an entire new system.

I have had lots of problems with this computer since I have had it. And it is about 10 months old. I live in Central Fla. And had a lightening strike that took out TV sets, phones etc and I believe it also damaged the computer. This is the 2nd time that Freedomscientific has told me that this computer should be junked. I guess I'll have to do some thinking. Try tapping the F11 key once to see if the menus come back. Also, does Outlook 2010 run exclusively with ribbons? Take care.
