Hi David,
Great! Now to find the keystroke to turn on my brain. Oh wait, that means
leaving the computer and going straight to the coffee maker.
later,
Susan

Hello there;
Try;
Insert+spacebar,
Then the letter "s".
This will,
Turn speech off,
And redo the keystroke to turn speech back on.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] muting speech on the fly
Hi everyone,
Well, I guess it’s too early in the morning for my brain to be working. I
want to temporarily mute JAWS speech while working in the Bookshare Victor
player but can’t figure out how to do this on the fly. If I do it from
within JAWS, the speech obligingly returns when I enter the Victor player,
obviously the opposite of what I want to do. Can someone remind me of the
keystroke or whatever to do this? Btw, am using JAWS 12 and Windows 7 if
that matters. Many thanks.
Susan
