If you can't send and you checked the port settings, did you make sure the
radio button is set to ClearText?
If you are using Outlook Express, then disregard.

Hi all;
I tried most of the suggestion last night on my home computer and still
no luck.
It is easier to reply at work since my home computer still can not send
messages.
I tried the different port settings, server names, checked and unchecked
the authentication box etc.
I did not try the suggestion to call ATT to see if the outgoing port is
locked.
I will try again when I get home late tonight.
