once you press the F5 key when in the program, it is accessible. it is minimal on resources. You can work with the default setup until you get the hang of the various settings within it. The settings dialogues make extensive use of the tab and F6 keys. It has help, written in fairly good english. (I believe it is originally a Slovak-produced program.)

Personally, I like and use Eset Smart Security, which as well as being anti-virus and anti-malware, also does a good job of putting spam messages into its spam folder, and will include as spam messages from others you tell it to classify as spammers. the default rules of what it considers as spam are usually good enough, i find.

www.eset.com

- there is a 30-day trial period, after which you pay to continue using the program. (use the F5 key to get to the program's accessible interface after you've installed it.)

Hi Miriam,
Just a note:
Others have suggested MSE, which is good for anti-virus and anti-spyware,,
however, it is not an anti-spam program.
It is much easier to simply delete spam then try and find a program
that is screen-reader friendly,and doesn't cause e-mail problems.
HTH,

My new computer arrived with mac Afee anti-span software which I hate. It doesn't appear to be at all accessible and it is blocking my wonderful update flash program. Do you have suggestions. I had Avast before which
didn't seem to cause me problems. Any other suggestions?

Miriam
