Hi all; Finally, After my wife spoke, once again, to an ATT tech, we got our problem solved.
We had to change the server incoming address to "inbound.att.net and outgoing to outbound.att.net. The word inbound and outbound were key. We checked requiring authentication box but, not the first authentication choice. Under advanced, the port is 465 and out is 995. both have ssl checked. It is amazing that talking to a helpful person made such a difference in a 30 minute conversation with an English speaking person versus the 3 hour ordeal talking to a person I could barely understand and to be told I needed to pay $50.00 for tech help since it was a software problem that Att did not support. Even after the problem occurred because of upgrading to Uverse. Again, I am greatly appreciative of all the help my JAWS comrades have provided. Thanks so much!
