Hello trish; Unlike POP, IMAP offers two-way communication between your web Gmail and your email client. This means when you log in to Gmail using a web browser, actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a 'work' folder) will instantly and automatically appear in Gmail (ex: it will already have a 'work' label on that email the next time you sign in). IMAP also provides a better method to access your mail from multiple devices. If you check your email at work, on your mobile phone, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new mail is accessible from any device at any given time. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Trish Sent: Wednesday, May 02, 2012 3:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] windows live email, 2 issues David, What is imap settings? It is not sending receiving; I likely clicked some incorrect setting. So I'd like to delete it from window live email & start over. How or where is the delete account option? Secondly, Whindows live email is periodically shutting down. There are some possible causes posted - none make much sense. Possible it is related to the gmail problem. Any words of wisdom appreciated. using jaws 12, windows 7 on a netbook thanks, Cathie For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
