It does work some what but think about it folks for a minute. The majority of you out there are not going to get a look at windows 8 until it hits the street officially so anything from right now is still in a state of flux and subject to change. I'm quite certain that JAWS will support it just fine as will the other screen reading packages on the market will do as well.
I've seen it and yes it does work but here again it is officially not supported just as JAWS 5 does not support IE 8 but it still works to a limited degree. So unless you have a burning need to get 8 the minute it hits the streets just hold on to your keyboards and let those who have the job of figuring all of this stuff out do what they do best. For my taste 8 is a little strange looking but I see no reason after a bit of a learning curve it should be no problem to manage. For one, in win 8, jawss video intercept is gone and jaws will need to make do with the tools win8 itself offers. Set jaws to use msaa for list views. you can enable this globally within default.cfg. The option was first introduced in jaws 4.0.x and win xp and has always been there since but only been used on demand. hth Doris At 05:51 PM 5/11/2012 +0800, you wrote: >hi alll, >anyone has a chance to use windows 8 beta with Jaws 13? >does it working well in it. or we have to wait Jaws 14 later this year? > >Ming >msn/window live messenger >[email protected] >skype: >chungchiming9950 > >blog/ xanga >http://www.xanga.com/chungchiming > >For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: >http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
