Hi Russ,
You are correct, it appears that Google has discontinued the mobile version of the maps, replacing it with an app that can be downloaded to a phone. Not much help if you are using a PC. As the other person suggested, you will have to go to the maps.Google.com and click on "get directions". It is not as clean and simple as the mobile version once was, but it is usable.

It appears that more and more of the simple services which blind users have relied on are going by the wayside. That's progress.

John

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Google maps

Hi everyone,

I have recently used Google Maps to plan our trips by car. When I went to
google maps just now, it seems that it has changed. I am no longer finding
the simple from and to fields to fill in.

Any ideas for this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Russ
