Thanks to all,  I am not good at remembering all the keystrokes.  But thanks to 
all between the menus and the application key which really helps a lot I have 
managed to figure out how to do what I need.

have you tried the old hot key comboes.
alt i and then s for inserting a sheet, alt e and d to remove/delete a row?
