yes. the feature was reintroduced or revamped. it's known as "indicate
new line when" and you will come across it in the Settings Center if you
do a search for new line or indicate new line. It speaks the new line as
you type and/or edit, either or both. In Microsoft word, you might want
to justify your lines - ctr+j does this to both right and left.

I am a freelance writer and have need to limit the length of lines via
characters, not by way of word wrap unless it put a hard return at the
end.
I was told; years ago screen readers had a feature where you could set
a
tone to play once you reached a settable character length. Similar to
the
old typewriter margin bell prior to the end of the carriage.
Does anyone know of a Jaws feature or a script that might allow this?
I don't know if it occurred when typing or when passing over the line,
but
both instances would be good.
