Your suppose to use the password for the gmail address your trying to remove.

Hi Maheen,
I haven't had to delete a Gmail account for a while but, the last time I did
the steps below worked. Try the following;
1. Login into your Gmail account.
2. Tab or arrow down to Settings, & press enter.
3. Arrow down to, Link Account, & press spacebar.
4. Now arrow way down past your profile setup , personal settings, until you
get to My Products. Once you get to My Products, arrow down 1 more time to,
link edit, & press enter.
5. On this new screen, press enter on,Remove Gmail permanently.
6. There will be a statement stating that you are trying to remove a Gmail
account. Go down to where it says, Are you sure you want to delete,
YourEmailAddress
@gmail.com?
Below this question there is a checkbox, press the spacebar to the checkbox
saying, Yes , I want to permanently delete YourEmailAddress
@gmail.com
and remove it from my Google Account.
7. Arrow down 1 time to, New Email Address. Now, arrow down 1 more time to
an edit field, & press enter. Here you want to put in an email address that
Gmail can send a confirmation email to.
8. Now, tab down 1 time &put in your current / existing password, tab again
to the , Remove Gmail button, & press the spacebar.
9. You will want to check this page by arrowing up to make sure you have
filled in all the edit fields correctly & checked the correct checkboxes.
If you have done everything correctly, you won't find any edit fields to
retype anything.
10. Now, go the email account to get the confirmation email that Gmail has
sent you & follow the directions in the confirmation email.
That's it! You are done!
