Hi.

In the Acrobat Reader 9, there is, as far as i remember, in the menu line a field named Document, goto this, and find, ... i think it is Security settings, and see, if you can disable the protected mode from there.

It was version 9. But I did go to the properties page, and could not find
any links for the protection information.

Hi,

If you installed Adobe Reader 10(x) you may be hitting the new protected
mode problem. I have found that if protected mode is turned on then Jaws
can't read pdf documents.

Try turning it off in properties under file.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Acrobat Reader

To All Users:

I had downloaded a book in PDF Portfolio format. I also downloaded the
version of Acrobat Reader for this type of file. After rebooting, JAWS is
still not reading the information relating to this book. Is JAWS version 11
compatible with Acrobat? I am using Windows Vista on a 32 bit system.

Thanks.
Jerry
