I have XP and 13.0. My pc froze up as I was trying to start up my e mail in internet explorer. No keys worked so I hit the alt/control/delete key, and nothing worked. So I had to hard boot the pc off. When I turned it back on and went to O.E.,the in box said "closed" and, my in box and spam folder were empty. There was nothing in the deleted folder either. I do run a back up with McAfee. What would be the best way to recover these important messages?
