you forget that you can have the count reset just by writing them, or clicking on the provided link on the regestration page, and asking them for it, if you haven't used a whole lot of authorizations in the very recent time period, they are more than "happy" to reset your count
i have 5 computers with keys on them and 1 on demo version, and the tech i talked to says even that is ok, they just discurage it since folks can go nutcase and start handing out authorizations to those who don't own them yes you will loose one, but you can get more. inthane -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike O'Brien Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 10:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] What to do when you forgot your JAWS USB Authorization stick Hi You can authorize JAWS on multiple computers, but I believe that the JAWS license says you can only be using it on one computer at the same time. But I can't imagine listing to two JAWS speaking at the same time. The downside is that if you use your personal authorization to use JAWS on that computer, it will take away one of your authorization counts, and the most you can have is 3. I know it would be a pain, but I would just run JAWS unauthorized and reboot after 40 minutes. You can remove a JAWS authorization count by going to Start menu\All programs\JAWS\\ xx, tools menu and select Remove authorization. But that will not return the lost authorization count. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Annette Carr Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 08:39 To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] What to do when you forgot your JAWS USB Authorization stick Hi All, I ended up leaving work without my JAWS USB authorization stick for the loaner laptop from work. What would happen if I were to use my personal JAWS authorization code on that computer? Can I be running both computers at the same time? If I can run 2 computers at the same time with the same JAWS authorization code, what will I need to do to remove my authorization code when I return the computer?
