Hi

In Outlook 2010, you can clean out the deleted items folder by pressing
alt=f then pressing tab 4 times and it should say Cleanup tools. Press
space to open this menu and arrow down to Empty Deleted items folder and
press enter. A confirmation dialog will appear. Press enter to confirm
that you really want to empty the Deleted items folder. If you have an All
mail folder, it is probably a search folder and doesn't really contain
separate emails. So if you delete any messages from the All mail folder,
they will also be deleted from the folder where they really reside. For
other folders, go to the folder to clean up. If you are sure you want to
delete all the messages in that folder, press control+a to select all the
messages and then press delete to send them all to the deleted items folder.
If you only want to delete some of the messages in that folder, you have to
select only the ones you want to delete and then press delete to send them
to the deleted items folder. You should clean up other folders before
emptying the Deleted items folder. A couple of the folders that should be
cleaned out regularly are the Junk email and the sent items folder. As far
as I know, there is no limit to the number of messages that can be in your
Outlook file. The file will just keep growing as long as there's available
disk space.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Deleting Messages in Outlook 2010

I am still trying to figure out a way to delete messages in the All Mail Box
and also Trash. If I wish to do all of them in either box, then how can I do
this without deleting my regular In Box which has happened several times.
Must I delete one message or ten messages at a time, by selecting them and
then pressing the delete key, and then it should not delete my regular In
Box? Perhaps the system might run better without hundreds of messages that
accumulate and I thought I would ask those of you who know, what I can do.
Is there only a designated space in both boxes for messages and then they
drop off themselves or what happens to them all eventually when thousands
accumulate?
Thank you in advance for your help.
