Hi Russ, There are 2 options that I know of. One is to copy the information from the Outline view of PowerPoint and then paste it into Word. This will require you to have Outline view set instead of the thumbnail view. I frequently had trouble setting this in office 2007 and would end up needing sighted assistance.
Another option is to do a save as. I can't remember what file options exist, but I think there were several that could be opened in Word. I can't remember if there is a 3rd option. I think there is an export option somewhere in the File menu. Sorry that I cannot provide you with more detail.
