No, I couldn't tell you the steps for Vista.  I have never used Vista.  Is 
your headset a USB headset?

Would you happen to have the steps for Windows Vista and JAWS version 11?  I
have been having the same headache, although I sometimes think that it is my
headphone port; because If I plug in a set of headphones, JAWS works as it
should.  But whenever I unplug them, it starts stuttering and intermittently
cutting in and out.
