Hello André, There are a few other things you might want to try if you haven't yet resolved the missing folders problem.
I had a problem with missing favorite folders in Outlook 2010 and it was resolved by using the outlook.exe /resetnavpane command. You can use the Run dialog box and browse to the outlook.exe file. In Windows 7 64-bit the path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE" Be sure that there is an opening and closing quote for the above entry in the Run box. Move to the end of the filename and leave a space after the closing quote. Type in /resetnavpane And press enter key. Outlook should open and you can check to see if the folders are restored. A second possible method for restoring the missing folders is to import from an archive or backup PST file. 1. Use Alt+F when in a folder list and use down arrow key to the Open tab. Tab to the Import button and use spacebar to open the Import And Export Wizard 2. Select Import From Another Program Or File, and then tab to the Next button and use spacebar. 3. Select Personal Folder File ( pst from the list and then tab to the Next button and use spacebar. 4. Tab to the browse button and use spacebar to locate the .PST file to import from using the Open Personal Folders dialog box. When you select the .PST file tab to the Open button and use spacebar. My PST files are found in C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook (Of course replace Brian with your user name if your .PsT files are in this location). Note: You can find the location of your data files by going into the control panel and opening Mail. The Mail s et up will open and you can tab to the Data Files button and press spacebar. Tab to the list just before the Close button in the resulting child window and JAWS should give the path of the .PST files. Use escape a couple times to leave the dialogs. 5. Once the .PST file name that you are importing from is in the file name edit box, tab to a group of radio buttons that let you make choices relevant to how duplicate files are treated. You likely want to choose not to have duplicates imported. If that is the case then use down arrow in the group of radio buttons to the "do not import duplicates, tab to the Next button and use spacebar. 7. The Outlook data folder will be opened in a tree view. Use down arrow key in the tree structure and select the folder from which you want to import data 8. Use tab key to a checkbox that determines if subfolders will also be imported. Check or uncheck the box with spacebar. 9. Tab to the radio buttons that let you import the items into the currently opened folder or into the folder with the same name as the origin folder. If you choose the second radio button then you can tab and choose the >PST folder to import to. 11. Tab to the Finish button and use spacebar. When the importing process is in progress, if you chose to use an Archive.PST folder to import from then it is shown in the folder list (if the folder list is open), but it is removed when the Importing process is complete. A third possibility is to use the SCANPST repair tool. On my Windows 7 64-bit system the SCANPST file can be found at the following file address: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\SCANPST.EXE" If you run this tool you can choose to do a backup of your current .PST file. Just follow prompts. Sometimes, this tool will correct problems with the personal mail folders. Take care. Since about a week ago, for some obscure reason, I am unable to see these subfolders. As a test I tried to recreate one of them and was then told by the programme that I cannot as the folder already exists. When trying to move messages to the existing folders I am also not able to do so. So it does seem as if they are still there but hidden somehow! Can somebody assist with this perhaps?
