Good point, but for example XP started some place around version 4.5 give or 
take a decimal and it is still going at 14. Yes you are correct. Like I said 
any version you are authorized to use and I suppose I should have added that 
will work with the operating system in question.

oh wait now, forgetting a very important factor, the OS has something more
to do with it, right? Like win 7 has to have v13 and higher not earlier
versions, right?

This is nothing new, you were simply operating under a false impression. You
can install any version you are authorized to run without them interfering
with the other versions. In fact any version at all in my opinion.

oh really now? I was thinking like he was thinking, the newer ones had to be
