Dan, first a caveat:
We use IP communicator software so laptops function as telephones on VOIP. I
have a Dynex headset that is very comfortable and has one earpiece, so I can
still maintain my situational awareness and communicate with others.
And obviously, the Synth and phone are played through the single earpiece.
Because many new laptops we have no longer have microphone inputs, ours are USB
headsets.
Not sure this helps but there you are.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and headphones.

I realize this isn't directly related to JAWS, but there are more members
on this list, using a screen reader than almost any other. Plus, many
folks on this list appear to be professionals, so may have some unique
input on this question.

Does anyone use a headset that can both receive input from the computer,
and from the telephone? IE, so you can hear your screen reader and talk
on the phone.

I used a rig like this many years ago, but haven't in a long time. That
rig had the synth in one ear, and the phone in the other ear. Personally,
I would prefer to have the synth and phone in both ears. Especially if I
were using the headset all day for screen reading, and only occasionally
using the phone.

Barring that, does anyone have any experience with wireless headsets for
use with the computer output. I am tired of getting tangled up in my
headphone cord. I've been reading about many of them, but it is difficult
to know how a set of headphones will feel after 8 or 9 hours on your head.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
