If you listened to those tutorials I state use headphones or you will get
feedback.

The check box I mean is mute or un-mute the microphone.

What kind of a tutorial are you planning on doing?

Ok David, I went to the recording tab, clicked properties on the microphone,
went to the listening tab and there was a box that was unchecked that stated
listen to this device and I checked it.
After I did that, I heard feedback blasting out of my headset lol.
Am I not on the write path here?
Thanks much.

Do not un-mute your microphone on the listen tab.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] question about tutorial from the jaws users site

Hello:

Mr Farin did a tutorial on how to use win seven and conduct a tutorial so
the speech will be heard during your presentation; however, my question is
if one wanted to do the opposite, have the screen reader come out of your
headset, so jaws will not be heard during the presentation how is this done?

Thanks.
