Hi Rick, Thank you very much for your explanation of the differences when using the 2 keystrokes. Take care. Mike This email was sent from my, iBarstool.

I don't usually browse for a location from the search dialogue, I open the search from within the folder I am wanting to search. When using this method, the only difference I find, is that if I Alt F4 the search window after using the Control + F to open it, it also closes the folder from which I was searching. This is not the case using the Windows + F keystroke to open the search dialogue. Using either keystroke here, seems to yield the same results. The only time I use the Jaws find command, Insert + Control + F, is on the internet. If it's a search for files & folders, then it is *not* control +f. If it's a search within a document or on the Internet, then it is control +f. ----- Original Message ----- From: "justin williams" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 17, 2013 11:56 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Invoking The Control + F Keystroke > No, it is control f. > > -----Original Message----- >>From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] >>On > Behalf Of RJ > Sent: Monday, February 18, 2013 6:42 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Invoking The Control + F Keystroke > > Window key + f > ----- Original Message ----- >>From: "Mike B." <[email protected]> > To: "Jaws-Users List" <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, February 18, 2013 6:32 PM > Subject: [JAWS-Users] Invoking The Control + F Keystroke > > >> Hi All, >> >> Whenever I invoke the control + F keystroke, which is supposed to >> invoke >> the >> screen readers find dialogue, Jaws goes dead & I have to use the >> Insert, >> Windows key, + F4 keystroke to shut Jaws down & a shortcut keystroke >> to >> get >> Jaws running again.
