before you paste, to read the selected text you could use
shift+JAWSKey+DownArrow. Also, in the Quick Settings in IE, JAWSKey+v,
make sure that you have chosen 'select and copy from virtual cursor'
rather than 'full screen content'.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] copy and paste in IE9
I've got Jaws 14.0.1534, win 7, and recently upgraded (?) to IE9. I
have a
terrible time copying and pasting from a website, seems like any
website,
into a word document.
I may select 10 lines. I do control c and alt tab to word. I either
use the
old keyboard command "alt e, s, u" for a paste special as unformatted
Unicode text or I do it the hard way, through the menu. Either way, I
may
get the first 3.5 lines. Then, if I go back and try selecting the next
6.5
lines and copying them, I generally get the original 3.5 lines again.
It's
driving me crazy since copy and paste is probably my favorite thing
to do
with the computer. I have no problems, at least so far, doing a copy
and
paste between documents.
Is anyone else having this type of problem? I also have trouble with
jaws
and IE9 not playing together nicely when it comes to buttons. I can
hit a
button and the result bears no resemblance to the desired outcome. Any
thoughts!?! I really don't want to go to firefox if I can help it.
Thanks,
karen
