I did it. When I went to my calendar, nothing was being said, so I changed it
back.
Thanks for your help though.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws saying you replied on...in Outlook 2007

Hello Stephanie,

I am at a system with Outlook 2010 on it right now but I am quite sure the
following should also work for Outlook 2007. The steps shown below are for
JAWS 14 and Outlook 2010. Let me know if you follow these steps and have
different options with Outlook 2007. I think you should still have Screen
Messages as an item to check or uncheck in the list but I am not where I can
check in Outlook 2007 specifically.

1. After using JAWS key with the number 6 type "Speech Verbosity" (without the
quotes) into the search box.
2. Use down arrow key and you should hear "verbosity level" followed by the
level currently being used. You use spacebar to change between the three
levels. Each level is somewhat customizable. The beginner level is probably
set if you haven't changed it in the past. Leave the beginner level set if
that is the level you want to continue using.
3. Use down arrow key again to the Configure Verbosity levels choice and press
enter key.
4. The Configure verbosity levels branch will come into focus and you can use
right arrow key to open it.
5. Use down arrow key to the level you are changing. If you are changing the
beginner level then when you hear "beginner dot dot dot" press spacebar.
A list of twenty-one items should appear.
6. Use down arrow key until you find the Screen Message item or press S to
move there more quickly.
7. Use spacebar to uncheck the item if it is checked.
8. Tab to OK and use spacebar.
9 Tab to Apply and use spacebar.
10. Tab to OK and use spacebar.

Take care.

What verbosity level should I choose? Also, I'm not finding a screen messages
option.
Thanks for your help.
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

I think that doing the following steps should stop the messages from being
announced:

1. Open configuration manager using JAWS key with 6.
2. Type in Configure verbosity and use up and down arrow keys to the speech
verbosity choice and then press enter key.
3. Use right arrow key to open the Configure Verbosity Level.
4. Use down arrow key to the verbosity level to be changed. Press spacebar on
the choice.
5. Press S until you get to the screen messages choice and use spacebar to
uncheck it.
6. Tab to OK and use spacebar.
7. Tab to Apply and use spacebar.
8. Tab to OK and use spacebar.

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws saying you replied on...in Outlook 2007

Hi all,
When I go to my deleted folder in Outlook 2007, using Jaws 14, I keep hearing
Jaws say, "you replied on 2/28/2013 at 1:30 pm" or "extra line breaks were
removed from this message". Does anyone know how to make Jaws stop saying these
messages?
Thanks for your help,
Stephanie
