I've managed to do it, but I did get thrown into some weird trap a few times
when it wouldn't read and I tried to shift tab back to get to the former
question. I've encountered someone on another list who's also having
difficulties with it so I guess it may not be me alone. But thank you. It
just wasn't working correctly. I'd tab to the next question and it would
skip the question.

OK, instead of trying to figure out if you need to use r for radio button, x
for check box, e for edit box, just hit f.  It will take you to the next
form element whatever it is.

As long as you are in virtual cursor mode, just arrowing down the page will
get you there as well, but that doesn't seem to be working for you, so just
keep hitting f.
