Hi Kerry, I have been using Jaws 14 on a Windows 8 laptop for almost a month now. I have not seen any problems like you are describing. However, I have had something similar happen on other computers using Vista and Windows 7. Restarting JAWS or restarting the computer always fixes the problem for me. Thanks, Scott Duck
