Yeah, they are fairly accessible as long as you set Yahoo mail for use with a screen-reader, they have an option on their mail page. And, with GoogleMail, you have to use their classic view.

Good luck with trying to sign up for an email with Googlemail, though. Their audio captcha is a B***ch to use, it is practically unintelligible, and I've had trouble getting Webvisum to solve the captcha, I didn't try the paid service since there was a pair of eyes almost at my beck and call. The Yahoo captcha is easier to use and works.

You can use either email with the standard email programs i.e. Windows Live Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. if you'd rather not be bothered with looking through email using the web interface.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] E-mails

Hello-

I am currently using EarthLink and it is accessible but it costs nearly $30
a month. The support is excellent. Are Gmail and yahoo accessible with
good support? I was told that yahoo has just redesigned and it may not be
very accessible but I have no experience with either.

Thanks for any help,

Wayne
