It's actually when I'm doing what you might call and edit/rename. If I want some of the name to stay as is but I need to add words or perhaps number it, as I'm looking at the characters--and this is only in the renaming field and not at other times--Jaws will confuse me by saying things like 0 or semicolon and then the actual character in the word. It kind of reminds me of when I used to read my friend's Braille Light and when the display got old it looked like there were dots underneath the actual words. I am using Jaws 14 but not sure if my other versions do this as well, but it's almost like Jaws isn't totally focused on my file when I hit f2 to rename, and like it's seeing other characters underneath the actual ones. Don't know if I'm making sense but I wondered if anyone ever had it say other characters before it says the character it should be saying.
