My experience exactly. And, if you reply to a message, you might get Send and you might get Save Draft instead. I never did find a way to change that to Send without having a sighted person actually click the Send button!. I returned that computer and am now in the market for an older computer with prior to Windows 8 lol. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Fettgather" <[email protected]>

Now, this is interesting.
When Windows 8 mail initially starts, using Jaws 14, it starts with the list of messages, and I can tab through and hear New, Respond, Delete, Microsoft Office, my name, and then one silent area, and back to the scrolling list view. When composing a message with Control N, I can also tab to the send button after I have written a message. The part that I find really strange is that to read a message, I have to highlight in the list, and then press Shift Tab twice to be placed in the body of the message.
Very unusual for sure.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Windows 8 Mail

Has anyone had success using Windows 8 mail and Jaws? It seems that most controls like Send, Forward, Contacts, From, and so on are not read by Jaws making the program unusable. Freedom Scientific just kind of chuckled when I asked about any shortcuts and said if anybody could figure this one out, it would be this list.
