ah, I'm sorry but windows live mail works well with jaws 13, I should know I use it along with outlook for my various email accounts
now then, windows mail, which was introduced in vista is available in windows 7, you just need someone who is confident with .reg file installation to make a few changes and make sure you have downloaded service pack 1 for windows 7 before you install the windows mail retrieval package. other alternatives for a mail client are mazilla thunderbird, Eudora 7.0 and as I mentioned outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, and apparently (not well documented yet) 2013, which although it is not free, if you have an ms office suite you should have it on the disk(s) or it can be bought for around 45 dollars with some smart shopping. you appear to have my trouble with mail clients like thunderbird, although your blaming jaws, they are vastly different and unless you take the time to fathom, setup, and master them there going to kick your booty when trying to change from OE to thunderbird or Eudora. and even windows mail and/or live mail and outlook have enough differences that you need to slow down and pay strict attention to what your doing and find some help sheets tutorials and/or helpful websites. regards, inthane take care, inthane -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of RAVI Sent: Thursday, April 18, 2013 2:07 PM To: JAWS Users Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question about using Mail Clients with JAWS Hello everybody This is my first email to this group and I am happy to join this mailing list. Actually, I have been searching since long ago for a kind of mail client that can be used well with JAWS. I have been using Outlook Express in Win98 and then in WinXP since 12 years ago. Now I am dismayed to find this client missing its place in Windows 7. I have tried lots of various mail clients to find an alternative, but all in vain. Windows Live Mail is not well compatible with JAWS 10, 11 or 13. I have not tried it with JAWS 14. About Mozilla Thunderbird , I didn't know which version to use, but its latest version was not compatible with JAWS either. I have tried various other clients too, but none of them was good. This is the main reason I am still working with WinXP as my main OS rather than Win7. Please tell me which mail client is best compatible with JAWS? Tell me the exact version of the main client and JAWS please.
