let me clearify here, this fixed the jaws key J issue, also put jaws back in system's tray. So, thanks for troubleshooting it with me. I think I know what could have contributed to this problem, but do not know why jaws got out of sync though.. I was updating my old ID mate which uses an old CF reader to get these updates installed, that all went without a hitch, Jaws did his thing no problem there, so that's really the only new thing been done round here on this laptop, and besides..that is an external device that card goes into, but maybe somewhere the drives for it gunked up the ssystem, who knows.
