Hi,

had you another braille display connected as your default display before this? (You might need to select 'no display' and then add the Refreshabraille after, and then select it.) Can you try Bluetooth instead? Is your system 32-bit or 64-bit? (This may matter to JAWS.) Is there a date on the APH JAWS driver?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Refreshabraille question.

hi there, I have just recently acquired a refreshabraille 18 from aph.

I have been trying to get Jaws to work with it. I have installed the aph drivers that I got off aph's web site.

I went into the synthesizer and Braille manager with Jaws, And I checked the check box for aph refreshabraille, And I told it to use USB.

however, when I restarted Jaws, it doesn't seem to see the refreshabraille connected to the USB port.

I am currently using Jaws 14 Demo with Windows vista.

However, I can get NVDA to use the refreshabraille with Brltty.

Is there something I have to do to get it to work with Jaws?

Thanks in advance.
