another way to do this is, 1, press the start menu button, you'll land on the metro screen, now type in, default, you should hear, default programs, press enter, now tab enter on set you're default programs link, now the steps are pritty much the same as I sent before using IE.

Go to Internet Explorer, go to the tools menu, go to internet options, go to the programs tab, select set default programs, pick Microsoft Outlook from the list, go down to the check box for send E-mail protocol and check it, save the settings.
