I’ve been asking questions on how to set my laptop up to connect to the internet, but still no luck. I called a friend, out of state, who has his own pc repair business, and after telling him that a friend had to go to freedom scientific, from my works internet line, he said that my laptop probably had my business address as my default address, and that I needed to release that address, and then open the internet from my home line, and see if the internet works then. here’s what he sent me, but have no idea where to put in the lines he gives. there is no edit box. can someone help me?
After getting to the command prompt, or cmd, type in the following words one line at a time, hitting enter and then waiting for the response. You must hit enter/return key after each line of words. 1st line ipconfig \release 2nd line ipconfig \renew 3rd line ipconfig 4th line exit Then try to go to the Internet. Let me know if this works.
