Hello Josh,

Here are a couple things you might want to check out in Microsoft Word if
you haven't already done so. If you are not working in print view then
switch to that view by using Alt with CTRL and P. Once in print view go
under the View tab of the ribbon by using Alt followed by W and then using
tab key to the lower part of the ribbon. Use tab key until you find the
"One page" button and press enter or spacebar to make it active. Go back
under the View tab and see if the zoom is at 100%. If not then use the Zoom
button and adjust the zoom.

I have heard that for some reason the print preview settings in Word 2010
can affect the actual type of view being used in the document. Press Alt
with F and then down arrow to the Print tab. Use tab key across to the
print preview area. Zoom should be around 75% (mine in Word 2013 shows
76%).

I have also noticed that in Word 2013 after using print view that the page
number just previewed keeps being read when using insert key with number pad
3. Using F6 and reading the page number on the status bar gives correct
information. I am not sure if this is just for Word 2013 or not but if you
use the print preview and then the status line to announce page number and
you keep getting the same number announced try using the F6 and seeing what
page number is showing on the status bar.

If the problem continues you might consider doing a repair on Word. Go into
Programs and Features in your control panel and find Microsoft Office 2010
in the list. Use application key and find the Change option. Use that and
you will get a repair button that you can use. You will need to wait for a
while as it takes some time for the repair process.

Take care.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft Word 2010 Or JAWS 14 Setting

Hello Guys and girls,
I noticed that no one knew the answer to my problem I was and continue to
have with the Office Suite. In a way I am glad because this means I am not
alone with this problem. This one may be a little easier to tackle though.
Is Office 2010 and Word 2010 one in the same or are they different. I
noticed when saving the Word documents they save with a DOCX file extension.
Reason I ask is my dad purchased a laptop the other day for them to use.
When purchasing the laptop they also purchased the Office suite 2010 for my
mom to use. My dad mentioned the other day having to go to office.com to
download a program. If this is the case and Word 2010 and Office 2010 are
not one In the same then perhaps this is not a JAWS 14 problem, but maybe
all I need to do is go and download the office program. My fingers are
crossed anyways. Take care and as always all help is greatly appreciated.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Microsoft Word 2010 Or JAWS 14 Setting

Hello to everyone,
I am using Microsoft Office Suite 2010 that includes excel, outlook,
powerpoint, Access, publisher, etc. I noticed though that Microsoft Word
2010 which is also included is not acting like previous versions of Office.
It seems like I can type out an entire book on one page without it ever
changing to another page. Is this normal or is there a setting that I can
change to make Word act more like previous versions? I am using Jaws 14 on a
Windows 8 computer. Other functions of word still work as they use to such
as Control D and Controls E,L, and R. Also if anyone knows how to get the
sounds back that were able to be used in previous versions of Office it will
be greatly appreciated. I used a program from Jaws-Users homepage for my
sounds in the past, but that program seems to no longer work With Office
2010.
Thanks for any help that can be offered on these matters.

P.S.
I checked these last few days on the Blind Tech page to see if this was a
problem unrelated to JAWS. The issue with Microsoft Word 2010 not changing
to a second page or a third page etc. I did receive some feedback, was told
to turn word wrap off in order to manually change the page. When I looked it
was apparently off by default so this did not fix the problem. In the past I
could press control and page down or page up to change from one page to
another page, but this is not the case in 2010. I hope it is just a setting
that needs to be changed in either JAWS or Word.
