ok like what info?

it's an HP deskjet, hooked up to the rump of an XP desktop, the LP is ASUS 
OS win/7 home, I probably can figure this out, it's a network thing, so I'm 
guessin' it's in the control panel, if I can't do it, then I'll just 
continue to drop box what I need to print  and do it that way..

I agree with Rick, don't do it. Stick with what you already have. So far as
it sinking up with your lap top or any other system we will need more
information before proceeding.
