I know there's an app also for like say an iPhone you can print from a
printer with your IOS device if the app is installed.
It seems to support many brands of printers.
I know this is all correct what you said Rick, my LP was doing that just few
months back, the printer and computer was in one location and was hooked up
to the modem, my LP was networked to it.

Thanks, this printer has the capability to connect to the router or
computer. right now it is connected to the computer. I read somewhare that
if connected to the router it can be remotely accessed. You need the network
password. I no longer can locate that information. Will do more searching.

Hi Patricia and Lenny,
While it's true that a printer connected to a computer can be shared over a
network,
it is not a true network printer.
A wired network printer is connected directly to your modem or router via
ethernet cable.
In a typical shared printer configuration, the printer and the computer it's
plugged into must be on
for let's say, a laptop to access it.
The advantage of a network printer is that it connects directly to your
modem or router via an Ethernet cable.
This allows any computer on your network to access the printer whether they
are connected to the network
by wire or wirelessly.
In this configuration typically, desktop computers are connected via
Ethernet cables to the modem or router, and laptops wirelessly.
Remember, the wireless connection only exists between the laptop and the
modem or router, not the printer, for example.
As long as the laptop has access to the network, it should be able to use
the printer anywhere within range
of the access point.
There is probably a way to print to a printer from a remote location via the
internet,
but I have never done it, and would be concerned with the security
of the network.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] hp air/wireless printer

I have a b210 series hp wireless printer. It is hard wired to my computer. I
never convinced my wife to set it up wireless for her MacBook laptop. Now my
daughter asked me if it is also an air printer, where she can print
something from her home via the internet to my printer. I never thought
about looking for that capability. Does anyone use that and if so how
difficult is it to set up?
