Vince, now when I read these messages from the list the link to my page works as a link.

Lenny,

There is also a Send and Receive email choice in HTML of the File Options. I
gave you how to insert a link but have found the insert is not a tab in the
signature. I'll keep thinking and looking if anywhere else. If you notice
with JAWS, your messages, using the Read Title (Insert T), your messages are
tagged with "(Plain Text)" at the top of the screen. Also, whatever you have
recently done, your personal link is not showing up as a link any more...
The removal of the "www" has with plain text, as to my best guess, is making
MS Outlook not know it is a link.

Vinny

Vince, Now I am even more confused. I am not trying to insert a link within
the message but have wlm add my signature information. I have read set to
html and the send also set to html and the html option is quoted printable,
the second option.
When I send a test to myself the link is text however when it comes through
this list it is a clickable link. I attempted to even create a file that
would be added as opposed to the text area in the signature area of wlm and
this did nothing. I also as suggested created a hyper link in word and
copied that to the text area of the signature line information. I just
removed the www and will see if it is still a clickable link when it comes
back through this list. Thanks for your help.
By the way I must check my spam folder, I did not receive your last evening
message.

Annette and Lenny,

I had sent out information on this early this morning or last evening,
according to your time zone. I will forward it again as I included steps and
explanations.

Lenny and All Helping:

What is happening is our email clients, i.e. Outlook Express, MS Outlook and
many others do not know when we are typing in a website. Most of the time
newer email programs will recognize websites starting with "www", but not
even all of these. The format setting you have chosen can play into this and
I will address it later. Now we have that "www" standard going out, they are
changing extensions where a company or location, New York City has just been
approved for their own extension of ".nyc". This may have another affect
very soon. The end of an address is this example.
Take a look at the mobile sites. The Website begins with a single letter
"m." Now, how do you handle the typing in of a link?

There are a couple of options how to enter a website. You can hard code the
"http:", include the 2 slashes after that and then the Website. An example
is: http://m.thruoureyes.org . When you type this in, did you catch I
separated the last period for the end of the sentence from the
m.thruoureyes? If you are reading this on an Apple device, you will notice
the Websites are recognized with or without the "http". You may see
m.thruoureyes.org just as text here if you don't use one of the following.
The other way to enter a link is through the menu options. I am using MS
Outlook 2010 so I will do my best to remember Outlook Express.
In MS Outlook and I have the Virtual Ribbons turned off:
1. You need to press the Alt Key.
2. You press the right arrow to move to the "Insert Tab", pressing the
letter "I" may move to this Insert Tab but not on my system.
3. Press the tab key about 13 times (in MS Outlook" until you hear Hyperlink
Button. If this comes up as unavailable, your format is set to text and you
are not able to insert a hypertext link. This may be also turning off your
"http" (links) from your reading them as a link. This is the best reason to
use your email set to HTML, "Hyper Text Mark-up Language". I will add
changing the format to hypertext.
4. When you found the Hyperlink Button, press enter 5. You will hear
something like: Insert Hyperlink. Address: Edit 6. You can now type in the
Website 7. Hit the tab key and press enter on the "okay"
You should now see the link in the document. The m.thruoureyes.org with this
method is m.thruoureyes.org If you noticed, the second read of the
m.thruoureyes.org also said "Link".
To change from text to hypertext:
1. Press the "Alt Key"
Right arrow to Format Text Tab
2. Tab down 6 times or until you hear "Format Group Box"
Arrow up to "HTML Button Pressed", the text does not give you insert of a
hypertext and I believe makes a website not open as text and the Hypertext
is what you want Tab many times to find "Save" and hit enter

For Outlook Escape
If I remember, there was in the "Edit Menu" an insert or an "Insert Menu".
Itself. After pressing enter you would tab through the choices until you
heard insert link, insert hyperlink or something similar to that. You would
then type the address of the Website you wished to insert.
These menu insert methods I have described do not require the http:// before
the Website name you enter.

I will leave this open if anyone else has ideas. I know I can think of many
other ways to include links.

Vinny

Thanks, I have text off. When I put it on other emails would not display
correctly.

I think that Plain Text will prevent your links from being active
hyperlinks, but I'm not 100% sure about this.

ok, what is up with this? When I send a test message to myself the link
fails, when I send a message to this list it works. What could make the
difference?

I am now totally lost. I made a minor change to the last line of my
signature and now the link is not working again. The link is on line by
itself followed by a space and a hard return. That was the change that I
needed to make to have it working before.
