I updated today from 14.0.6004 to 14.0.6005. I recall that some people
experienced problems updating to the previous build (14.0.6004), but I did
not.

However, while the 14.0.6005 update was installing, I began seeing a string
of error messages which I have never seen before on this PC. I wish I'd had
the sense to virtualize one of the messages and copy it elsewhere for
safekeeping, but basically, it was a series of memory errors stating that
apps failed to write to the specified memory address and would be
terminated. As I said, a string of errors came up for everything from
dllhost.exe to iexplore.exe with failed memory errors. The update actually
managed to install correctly and prompted me to reboot my PC, with memory
errors popping up all the while. Once I rebooted the PC, everything seems to
be fine and I haven't seen any memory errors since.

I know that if it were me being asked this question, I might be inclined to
say to not worry unless it happens again. Still, I'm fairly worried because
these are pretty serious error messages. I know the relevance to JAWS
auto-updates seems slim, but I know there have been other problems with the
update facility this month so I thought I'd check whether the two could be
related. This is a PC running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and as I said, it's never
thrown these particular errors at me before.
