Well, a few days ago, on the release of 6005 Eric D. did enter a caveat
about staying with 6004. Perhaps the update problem he cited hasn't been
completely resolved yet.

I have auto updates off but updated from the help menu and have never
had troubles for all these years
The system restore did the trick and I will leave it at 6004

maybe, turn off auto-update, then - if necessary - remove JAWS14 and
then download it from the FS Web site and reinstall.

Thanks for your advice
I just decided to do a system restore to before the 6005 update and
all is back.
The 11, 12, 13, and 14 are all full versions and 1 sma is there again
too
the 6005 muust have been the culprit but I updated it and it took
about 2 days for jaws to act up with the 40 minute thing going on.

Call F S. For they turned off your license. Just went through this
and
wasn't any to happy about it. Waited about 25 minutes to get a rep of
F S
and it was about 7 when he shut me down. I believe if some one with
less
experience than I have, and I don't have much, would have been out of
luck
until Tuesday. But did get J 14 running after another 10 minutes
fooling
with F S web site. The rep was courteous while on the phone, but
could tell
he was watching the clock.

I do not know but just yesterday, I booted up my computer and all of
my jjaws full versions are now in 40 minute mode
What the heck?
I wrote to FS and with the long weekend, I am using my dongle to get
a full version but my serial number is not there and my sma is not
either
Figured a workaround until Tuesday and if the dongle doesn't work I
can use system access until I get a techie
Nothing was done from Thursday until opening the computer on Friday
morning
Strange!
any suggestions or I will just await FS!
Thanks for listening!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] weird problem with JAWS versions

I have recently installed JAWS 14 on my computer. I left JAWS 11 on
it as
well. I have always been able to switch back and forth between
versions with
no problem. Now when I switch from JAWS 14 to JAWS 11, which often
works
better for certain tasks, the JAWS 11 goes into 40 minute mode
instead of
just running normally. Does anyone know why this would happen?

Thanks.

Tara
