What happens when you perform the keystroke CTRL shift g to perform a word count. Does it still crash, as oppose to when accessing it through the ribbons?

This happens pretty frequently with my system, which is running latest build of JAWS 14 and Windows 8. When this happens, I cannot dump JAWS. I have to run Narrator and use it to close the JAWS window, then close Narrator, then restart JAWS. Also, when this happens, after I do the Windows key + enter, to Start Narrator, it takes Narrator a couple minutes to start, as though the whole system is very draggy. Just wondering if anyone on the list has any thoughts before I contact FS tech support. Of course, JAWS 15 may clear the whole thing up.
