Hi Nicole,
To show/hide file extensions in file explorer:
1. press alt to move to the name of the active tab in the ribbon.
2. press right arrow until you get to the name of the view tab.
3. press tab to move through the controls on the view tab until you get to the 
file name extensions check box.
4. set as desired.

Last night, I checked a bocx to announce the file types. Now I'd like to
uncheck it, and can't find it.
