I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Originally I found the sound of JAWS and its synths (and other sounds) to be somewhat tinny. I was able to find the Environment tab and to select HD sound, which made a lot of difference.

No it isn't affecting any other sounds, only JAWS output... I have
navigated to control pannel > Sound and had a "look" around the play
back tab, but there doesn't seem to be anything useful/helpful there.

My laptop is a Levono ThinkPad and I'm just using the internal
soundcard which is a Realtek HP

Hi Donnacha,
Is this affecting any other sounds on your laptop? What model of laptop
do you have?

Hi All,

I have a slight problem regarding the JAWS speech feedback on my new
laptop. I have just installed a new copy of JAWS 14 however the speech
is very hollow sounding and has a slight echo... Has anyone come
across this issue before and know how to fix it? I suspect it is an
issue with my internal sound card but I'm not sure of the specific
configuration details to solve it.

I'm running JAWS on Windows 7 32bit.

Thanks,

Donnacha.
