Give this a try
to turn conversation on/off
alt v for the view menu
now tab several times to conversation and enter
there will be on or off enter on the one you desire
and escape out of the menu

How do you change group by conversation in windows live mail
so that one person's email will not have ten ortwelve messages in a row.
