Hi.
Create a boot floppydisc, and boot the computer on this.
After started, type: format c: and press enter.
Press y to answer yes to continue, and errase all data on the drive.

Hi all,
I have an old 98 PC that I want to toss.
How can I erase all sensitive information from it?
I downloaded "wipe clean" on my XP then copied the set up on to a CD and
tried to run it on the 98.
I got a message that the software was looking for a more modern version of
Windows.
I tried the same thing/process with another free download called "erase"...
I got the same message when I tried to run it in the 98.
the 98 is not hooked up to the web.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
