If any of you have had difficulty doing what I mentioned in the subject line here is what worked for me. Your results may vary, details inside, no purchase necessary.
I ran the merge utility in 15 and it claimed everything was successful bringing my scripts from version 14 over, but the problem was my personal scripts I created that required the my extensions files to be copied over did not work. So being the curious fellow that I am naturally I decided to find out why and more importantly figure out how to resolve this current challenge to my waning sanity, insert laugh track. I navigate to the location in 15 where the scripts are to be found and everything was there other than the my extensions files and also the default key map file from 14. Here again I thought no major issue so I go over to the correct location in 14 and manually copy the files in question. You're probably thinking well Dave that should have worked, guess what you would be wrong. Only the key map file and the my extensions source file copied over. So naturally I opened that file and hit the hot key to save and compile it. Again if you're thinking that should have worked you would again be wrong. What finally worked was I placed the entire contents of the my extensions source file from 14 on to my clipboard and opened up the my extensions file under 15. I deleted everything in there and pasted into the then blank file everything from my clipboard and did a save and compile. That worked, if you want to know why I can't answer. What I can do is suggest you follow the above instructions and my guess is that the same procedure will work for you. I've tried to make this somewhat funny but at the time in question would not have been a smart move to ask me for a lone. Patty knows to stay out of my way when I start growling.
