Press spacebar there instead. Pressing enter in any of the Settings
Center dialogues clears the search and returns you to where you were.

Hi all,
I have a new Win 7 machine with 15.0.
I can not open the “custom punctuation” in the setting center.
I hit control shift D for default and when I hit enter or tab through
the options I can not get the list of punctuation marks to change.
All help is welcome.
