it was in my window's update, was it suppose to be there?

  On this system it was not automatic, I had to check the box for it to come
  down and install. 

  Folks, I always suggest you download a program first and then install it.
  Trying to do it from the web might work but in my opinion there are just too
  many variables to take in to account that may go wrong.

  I just clicked on windows update and it said it did nine updates.  However,
  it still says it is running IE 10.  Is IE 11 not an automatic update?
